Vintage fashion fair starts September 25

If an invisible magnet pulls you into every second-hand store you see, then you need to put a big red “X” on your calendar for the dates September 25-26. That is when the largest fair for vintage clothing in Sweden takes place at Strand, a bar, restaurant and concert venue located near the Hornstrull subway station in Stockholm.


Nordic brands blast off at NY Fashion Week

Odd Molly of Sweden and Finland’s IVANA Helsinki, are staging runway shows this week at the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week in Manhattan. This is the first time that fashion brands from Scandinavia have been on the official list in Bryant Park, running head-to-head with names like Anna Sui, Calvin Klein, Ralph Lauren and Tommy Hilfiger.


Outlook positive from rainy Copenhagen

The arrangers of the three-day fashion fair in Copenhagen, the largest event of its kind in Northern Europe, say that the fair attracted heavy media coverage and that business is looking up.


Good stuff happening in Gothenburg

The upcoming Copenhagen Fashion Week will feature what is being billed as the “World´s Greatest Catwalk.” This extraordinary event will feature a 1.6 kilometer (1,760 yard) catwalk covered with red carpet. It is expected that 100,000 people will view the fashion show, which will be broadcast around the world and shown on the Internet.


New York next for IVANA Helsinki

IVANAhelsinki, Finland’s hottest fashion label, may turn out to be the only Scandinavian brand showing on the official Mercedez-Benz New York Fashion Week calendar.
