Why has Norway come to be something of a world-capital of Black Metal rock music? Why do the Finns use so many consonants in their language? Scandinavia is truly a mysterious place. Here is a video of a catwalk show by White Baron, a new start-up out of Oslo you probably have never heard about.
White Baron designers Alexander Schikerin and Nastya Sladkova call their collection “post-modern, neo-futuristic,” and who am I to argue. One interesting element in the collection is a new look at some historical accessories, like Cossack hats. Among the high-tech and ecological materials used are Norwegian wool, Japanese silk, cotton and bamboo fabrics, Kevlar, metals and alloys and Murano beads.
By the way, they have done a cool photo shoot with Norwegian ballerinas:http://my.opera.com/whitebaron/albums/show.dml?id=4401182
